directory entries to the corresponding file type. For instance, if
directory `A` contains a regular file `B` and another directory
`C`, then `builtins.readDir ./A` will return the set

The possible values for the file type are `"regular"`,
`"directory"`, `"symlink"` and `"unknown"`.
