the parent daemon does not change any settings before starting a child, so there's nothing we may want to change that is not already set by the config file. this also doesn't prevent changes of the config file being applied to daemons where we do not expect it since it'll only restore a setting to the parents' value if the child also has an override for it. Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Lix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -sSf -L https://install.lix.systems/lix | sh -s -- install
For systems that already have a Nix implementation installed, such as NixOS systems, read our install page
