it's an eval-time only setting, the daemon doesn't use it anywhere. this is a hack, but until we have a much better settings system we are stuck. fixes #680 Change-Id: I532088b0279f13da0a0a65c2bd2e5f9d1dfb39da

Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Lix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -sSf -L https://install.lix.systems/lix | sh -s -- install
For systems that already have a Nix implementation installed, such as NixOS systems, read our install page
