Previously if isStorePath() was called on anything other than a top-level /nix/store/some-path, it would throw a BadStorePath exception. This commit duplicates the absolutely trivial check, into maybeParseStorePath(), and leaves exception throwing to parseStorePath(), the function that assumes you're already giving a valid path instead of the one whose purpose is to check if its valid or not... Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Nix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -L https://nixos.org/nix/install | sh
