Passing the commit message as an argument causes update failures on repositories with lots of flake inputs. In some cases, the commit message is over 250,000 bytes. Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Nix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -sSf -L https://install.lix.systems/lix | sh -s -- install
