we generally do not want to catch or throw these. catching them to print and discard is fine, tests are largely exempt, and cases in which we can be certain where the exception came from are also fine to *catch*. we'll try to never *throw* (or rethrow) these if possible though because doing so will make it impossible to construct async traces for the exceptions. Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Lix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -sSf -L https://install.lix.systems/lix | sh -s -- install
For systems that already have a Nix implementation installed, such as NixOS systems, read our install page
