don't throw if a downcast fails, have that particular casting method return an optional instead and check the result at the call site. we also rename dynamic_pointer_cast to try_cast_shared for consistency. Change-Id: I65ee0fb498b1b2b8b418935fce4358a654f984e5

Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Lix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -sSf -L https://install.lix.systems/lix | sh -s -- install
For systems that already have a Nix implementation installed, such as NixOS systems, read our install page
