we don't need the full sandbox setup helpers for this: mount namespaces do not need to be kept, loggers are not needed, and redirections can be done by runProgram2. once the build hook is removed we will not run the communication bits from a different process anyway, this prepares that. Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Lix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -sSf -L https://install.lix.systems/lix | sh -s -- install
For systems that already have a Nix implementation installed, such as NixOS systems, read our install page
