the two variants compute their store path hashes very differently, and the flat version ignores the filter passed in by the user entirely. in a future change we want to move filters out of store methods entirely, splitting them now will make that task a lot easier when we are ready. Installation
On Linux and macOS the easiest way to install Lix is to run the following shell command (as a user other than root):
$ curl -sSf -L https://install.lix.systems/lix | sh -s -- install
For systems that already have a Nix implementation installed, such as NixOS systems, read our install page
